Oregon Master Naturalist Program - Oregon Coast: Introduction to Coastal Habitats

Location: Dining Hall, Oregon Institute of Marine Biology
Attendance: This pilot class is intended for people interested in becoming Oregon Master Naturalists, particularly those would like to learn more about the Oregon Coast Ecoregion.

Oregon Coast Ecoregion - Unit 1: Introduction to Coastal Habitats

This unit will focus on the diversity of onshore and offshore habitats of the Oregon coast, including Rocky Shores; Sand Dunes; Sandy Beaches; Sea Stacks, Headlands and Cliffs; Shallow subtidal to Deep Sea; Coastal Forests and Streams; and Estuaries. An overview of the Oregon Master Naturalist Program will be provided.

When: Friday, May 7, 2010 from 12:30 – 4:300 p.m.
Where: Oregon Institute of Marine Biology, 63466 Boat Basin Drive, Charleston, OR 97420, in the Dining Hall
Instructor: Dr. Cynthia Trowbridge
