Coastal and marine ecosystems are undergoing dramatic changes as a result of shifts in climate and other anthropogenic perturbations. Understanding these processes and increasing awareness of these issues is a critical challenge facing both scientists and educators.

This institute will bring together community college educators and scientists who are conducting marine and climate research. During the institute, participants will engage with researchers, evaluate teaching materials, and participate in experiential learning activities.

Meals, on-site housing, and a stipend of $100/day will be provided for all participants.

Although there is no formal application deadline, review of applications will begin Wednesday, June 23, 2010 and continue on a rolling basis until the workshop is full. Click here to apply online.

Details will be added as the schedule develops.
